I was pleased to meet with Chief Superintendent Andy Parsons recently and catch up on policing matters across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency. It was also an opportunity to thank him and his officers for the job they do on our behalf.
As part of our discussion I impressed upon him the need to ensure that in Aldridge-Brownhills we want to receive our fair share of the new 366 police officers currently being recruited by West Midlands Police as part of the Government’s recruitment campaign of 20,000 new police officers nationwide. I know how important this is to us locally as residents from across Aldridge-Brownhills often tell me that they want to see more Police Officers in our neighbourhoods, protecting the public and helping us tackle crime in our communities.
