It was National Care Home Day last Friday and an opportunity to pop in and meet up with some of the staff and residents at The Hawthorns in Aldridge.
Now in its 7th year, National Care Home Day aims to encourage friendships, make connections and support the older generation, whilst raising funds for Age UK, and It was lovely to once again visit The Hawthorns.
My visit was topped off by being introduced to their special celebrity guest, Sherrie Hewson, star of Coronation Street, Benidorm and Loose Women who was also there to show her support for the event.
