It was lovely to meet with representatives from the Royal British Legion in Parliament last week and Assistant Director for the Midlands, Gail Walters.
The Royal British Legion do superb work, at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community through thick and thin, ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten. It is important to remember that they support people all year round, not just during remembrance, undertaking a breadth of welfare work and answering more some 44,558 enquiries in the West Midlands region in the last year.
I was pleased to be able to attend their event in Parliament and learn more about the work they are undertaking across our local communities.
