A number of constituents have raised concerns with me about the proposed planning application coming forward in Stonnall and the impact it will have on Aldridge.
The developer consultation is now complete, and it is anticipated that a planning application will be lodged with Lichfield District Council in September.
The proposed planning application for 450 houses in Stonnall Village will have a major impact on Chester Road at both the Lazy Hill and Birch Lane junctions.
This junction is already at capacity and sadly, as we know, at the Lazy Hill junction there have been several fatalities.
The idea that this size development is acceptable is quite unbelievable. It is also equally as unbelievable that yet again the developers are seeking to classify this as ‘Grey Belt’.
I will make representation about the detrimental effect this proposed development will have when the application is formally lodged with Lichfield District Council.
