This country doesn’t need stunts from this Government and its new Prime Minister. We may have a new face in Number 10, but it needs to be focussed on the issues which matter to hard working families across Aldridge-Brownhills.
The Prime Minister has now opened up Number 10 North – the office in the North of England which won’t do anything for the issues and concerns which matter to all of us!
That is why I have written to the Prime Minister to end Labour’s huge housing target on the residents of Aldridge-Brownhills which will destroy our precious Green Belt!
This Labour Government insists on a new target of increasing housing in our community by 31%. This is unacceptable to me, and it is unacceptable to the residents of Aldridge-Brownhills.
Why are we being asked to do the heavy lifting for Birmingham? The Prime Minister must answer some key questions as to why Birmingham and Manchester are being let off the hook and Aldridge-Brownhills is being made to do the heavy lifting! – This doesn’t seem fair to me, and I know it is not fair to all of you!
We all know this is wrong and please, Prime Minister Burnham, answer my letter and confirm your Government’s position on your policy for the Green Belt and Grey Belt.
Let me assure all of the residents of Aldridge-Brownhills that together we will protect our precious Green Belt!
