2767 houses and there is potentially more to come

2,767! Yes, you heard that right. 2767 houses and there is potentially more to come.

On the final day before parliamentary recess, I stood up once again to speak about Aldridge-Brownhills and the incredible local identity that makes our area so special to represent.

As many residents know, our precious Green Belt is under direct threat and our communities are under siege. We all know that Aldridge-Brownhills is a highly desirable place to live and work, but that is precisely because of our beautifully preserved Green Belt. That Green Belt which is our local green lungs and our buffer from merging different authorities together.

I refuse to let our communities be used as a dumping ground for unsustainable, top-down housebuilding dictated by centralised Whitehall. I have always championed a local-first approach: we need the right houses built in the right places, with the infrastructure to match, not developer-led sprawl.

We must stand together against outside political targets that threaten the very character of our area. I will continue to fight shoulder-to-shoulder with you to protect our precious Green Belt for future generations.
