With Labour moving ahead with plans to abolish NHS England, I raised concerns about what this could mean for eye care services and patients.
Eye care provision already varies across the country. As responsibilities are transferred and NHS structures are reorganised, we must not see a postcode lottery emerge, where access to treatment depends on where you live.
Patients deserve certainty, and I will continue pressing this Labour Government for assurances that these reforms will protect and improve access to eye care services.
