We have now hit our manifesto commitment to recruit 20,000 new police officers nationwide.
This has included the recruitment of 1,376 new officers in the West Midlands.
I am continuing to press the new Chief Constable to ensure that here in Aldridge-Brownhills we receive our fair share of those new recruits.
Neighbourhood Policing on the ground and in our local communities remains vitally important to residents right across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency and I will continue to ensure our voice is heard.
