I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the new Chief Constable, Craig Guildford, to his post here in the West Midlands.
Earlier this week I wrote to the new Chief Constable to request a meeting at the earliest opportunity so that we can discuss the issues which matter to residents across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency.
I am particularly keen to raise with him the need to maintain a Police Station in Aldridge as well as how we invest further in neighbourhood policing ensuring that we receive a fair share of the additional 20,000 Police Officers committed by the Government.
