Sunday was another incredible day out and about in the local community.
I joined Cllrs Garry Perry and Ed Lee at the Toy Service on Sunday morning at St Michael & All Angels Church, Pelsall. It was truly wonderful, and the generosity of all those who had donated gifts was outstanding.
The toys are to be distributed through the Black Country Toy Appeal which is one of the Mayor of Walsall’s Charities this year. A huge thank you must also go to Rev Alison, and to everyone who has worked behind the scenes to make this happen.
Meanwhile The Rotary Club of Aldridge were busy again – this time in Morrisons with their Christmas charity collection – joined by Santa. I was pleased to be be able help.
The day ended for me at the Traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at All Saints Parish Church, Streetly – a service of reflection with traditional Christmas Carols and Readings. Thank you.
