Across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency we are fortunate to have a superb network of Neighbourhood Watch groups who provide invaluable support local residents.
I was therefore pleased to be able to attend the opening of The Watch at Pelsall Village Centre. The remit of The Watch will help to provide people with access to the advice, guidance and knowledge for community safety. This is a fantastic initiative harnessing partnership working across all sectors, including Neighbourhood Watch, Walsall Partnership and with an ambition to build new links with Victim Support and Crimestoppers.
Whilst attending the opening I was pleased to meet with Edwin and Andy Venables who are stalwarts of the Rushall, Shelfield, Pelsall & Brownhills Neighbourhood Watch and hear more about the other activities they are involved with.
