The Domestic Abuse Bill continues to make good progress through Parliament, with a range of amendments being voted upon last week that will give greater protection to those who suffer such abuse.
Too often, and hidden away behind closed doors, domestic abuse has destroyed lives and has torn families apart. This new legislation is an opportunity to help those who suffer from this deeply harmful crime. This has been highlighted to me in particular when I have spoken with victims of domestic abuse.
I will continue to follow the debate and discussions as the Domestic Abuse Bill continues its path through Parliament.
