Moving towards Digital Voice for Telephone Services Between now and 2025, most telephone providers will be moving their customers from older analogue landlines over to new upgraded landline services using digital technology. This is known as the ‘digital switchover’, and BT has launched Digital Voice as its initiative to support the transition.
This news does raise concern for some residents across my Constituency. For example, the process may be complicated and could take some people time to adjust to, therefore risking separating an entire generation of people.
However, I am pleased to see that BT customers are being encouraged to speak with a BT advisor in person for a one-on-one conversation about Digital Voice. The advisor can answer your questions or address concerns about making the switch when the time comes. You don’t need to pre-book for any of the sessions, just show up.
