It has been another very busy week in Parliament, attending numerous meetings and debates, and advocating for my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency and residents.

Being the 431st female Member of Parliament and the first female MP for Aldridge-Brownhills, I was pleased to be able to take part in a debate ahead of International Women’s Day addressing the challenges women encounter in politics – such as facing unpleasant and abusive language. It was a cross party debate on a topic that requires us to unite and work towards changing this narrative. Ensuring fair representation of our population is crucial; everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
