Yesterday schools right across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency started to reopen to pupils marking our first step on the roadmap out of the national lockdown restrictions.
I would like to thank all of our teachers and support staff in our schools who have continued to open their doors for the children of key workers right throughout the pandemic and who have worked extremely hard to make schools Covid-19 secure and have managed the testing programme for secondary pupils.
The Prime Minister has remained steadfast that schools would be the last to close and the first to reopen. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible!
