As a nation we all value our emergency service workers and throughout the Covid-19 pandemic they have all gone the extra mile to protect residents and communities.
So I am pleased that the Government are increasing the maximum penalty for people who attack our emergency service workers to up to 2-years in prison.
This is the right thing to do!
