Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic the Government has taken a resolute response to protect the wages of people right across our country and here in my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency we have helped more than 10,000 people maintain a regular wage through the furlough scheme.
At the same time the Government have also supported 2,800 people through the Self Employment Support Scheme.
Business support grants have also been made available as we have ensured that we have one of the most comprehensive packages of support measures anywhere in the world during this pandemic.
Whilst this remains an extremely difficult time we are now starting to take steps to get our economy moving again.
