Green Belt is an essential part of our constituency’s landscape and should be protected at all costs. I have previously mentioned that it is crucial we do not become a suburb of Birmingham, and our precious Green Belt plays a significant role in preventing that from happening.
I have always advocated a Brownfield First policy and I am pleased to be supported by Mayor Andy Street. This is another vital initiative that we should support – development of Brownfield sites before Green Belt sites, which can help preserve our green spaces being built upon. It is essential to ensure that the right development is taking place in the right areas, and the campaign’s focus on Brownfield sites can help achieve this.
