This year St Michael & All Angels Church is celebrating its 180th Anniversary and so it was a pleasure to be there last weekend and join in their celebrations.

It was lovely to join Reverend Alison Morris, High Sheriff Douglas Wright MBE DL and Leader of the Council Garry Perry, together with your local Pelsall Cllrs and many members of the congregation and wider community.

As the High Sheriff said “Churches are at the heart of our Community” and St Michaels and All Angels is central to our community in Pelsall.

It was a fabulous morning, celebrating, remembering, learning more about the history and enjoying a tour. I must say a special Thank You to the bell ringers – although I would clearly need a lot more practice throughout the Parliamentary Recess before I could join you!

Let me also congratulate the Pelsall Ladies Choir for another stellar performance for everyone who was in attendance to enjoy – Thank You to the Ladies – and to Chris Booth on the keyboard.

Thank you again Reverend Alison and everyone at St Michaels and All Angels for a lovely celebration of your 180th Anniversary, with so many other events over the next few weeks and months I am sure I will be back soon.
