As Britain fell silent on the 11th hour yesterday communities from right across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency came together in an act of Remembrance to honour those who have paid the price for our freedom.
Yesterday morning at the War Memorial in Aldridge I was once again honoured to lay a wreath and speak to those in attendance. Later in the day I was pleased to join Deputy Mayor Councillor Rose Martin to attend the parade and service at St John’s Church in Walsall Wood.
Across the constituency, individuals, volunteers and community groups, the uniformed services, the scouts, guiding groups and many other local organisations came together alongside the Royal British Legion and veterans for Remembrance Sunday and it was once again a day in which the constituency of Aldridge-Brownhills shone in recognition of those who gave so much for our country. Lest we forget.
