At last! On Wednesday I was called to ask not just a question, but the first question of the day to the Prime Minister at PMQs. (Prime Ministers Question Time).

If you have ever watched PMQs on the TV or heard it on the radio you will know how noisy it can be so it wasn’t without a few nerves that I stood up to say “number 1 Mr Speaker”, and then, after a deep breath, to follow up with my main question about support for small businesses and the recent increase in the personal tax allowance. I was also keen to mention Aldridge and Brownhills too and my recent visits to Lassrform, an innovative manufacturing firm, and Potclays Ltd, who supplied clay for the Poppies at the Tower of London.
