Friday night was the opening night of the pantomime at Aldridge Youth Theatre. It was yet again an evening of fun and entertainment as we were treated to a production of Little Red Riding Hood (Aldridge Style!).
Once again, we were superbly entertained with some good pantomime fun, written by the talented Neville Ellis and superbly directed by Jonathan Backrath.
Every pantomime needs a dame, and we were certainly not disappointed by the colourful Dame Hatty Hood who owned the bakery. Together with Cherry Bo Peep who longed to return to the Chuckery, the wonderful Pete the Pig and a big shout out to the splendid Asbo Hood it was a wonderful evening of family entertainment.
The Aldridge Youth Theatre and all of its budding young actors and actresses as well as all of the volunteers who work in the background are an inspiration to Aldridge for the work they do, and it was a pleasure to be in the audience once again -Well Done to Neville on also getting a few of those political jokes in as well! – “Oh Yes he did!”
