March marks the beginning of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month – a crucial time to raise awareness. So, let’s shine a light on #ovariancancer together!

Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer can often resemble those of more common and less severe conditions, which is why Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is crucial for promoting knowledge about the symptoms to help early detection.

In Aldridge-Brownhills, 32% of women are diagnosed at an early stage (stage I or II) when outcomes will be better, and 68% women are diagnosed at a late stage (stage III, IV, or unknown). It’s critical to know the symptoms and ensure you see your GP prompt. More information can be found here: Cancer – Signs and symptoms – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

We can all help spread awareness by sharing this post with family and friends on Facebook during #OvarianCancerAwarenessMonth.
