Friday was an action packed day in the Constituency, that included an excellent visit to Elmwood School where I was invited to see and experience at first hand the activities of the Outdoor Learning Team.
The school was recently described by Ofsted as offering “High Quality Outdoor Learning” and during my visit not only did I have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the exemplary work they do, including the vast variety of activities the pupils enjoy, ranging from biking, canoeing, cave painting, willow weaving and rag rugging but I was also able to have a go at some too!
It was an opportunity to see Elmwood’s values in action – self-care, caring for others, and caring for the environment.
Thank you Dan, your team and everyone I met for a wonderful afternoon, and for making me feel so welcome. I look forward to seeing you all again.
