Congratulations to Team GB – they return victorious with 65 medals having carried the hopes of the nation on their shoulders.
The Olympic Games were an amazing 16-days of true sportsmanship and I am sure will inspire a new generation of Olympians to come forward.
As the host region for the Commonwealth Games it will be fantastic to see some of the most elite sports men and women in our region in just under 12-months’ time.
