I was really pleased to see the Government announcement this week launching a new national cervical screening campaign to encourage women to come forward for screening to help save hundreds more lives.

Sadly, two women every day die from cervical cancer and nearly one in three don’t take up the offer of cervical screening, but the test takes just a few minutes and can stop the disease before it starts.

That is why we have launched this new national campaign, calling on all women to take up the offer of cervical screening.

By encouraging more women to come forward for their test, we can save more lives and level up the health of the nation.
