I am pleased that Natwest Bank has now confirmed their meeting with me to discuss their decision to close out local Branch in Aldridge.

This was a matter I raised in the House of Commons last week with the Leader of the House The Rt Hon Penny Mordaunt MP.

I specifically said to her: –

“I am sure my Rt Hon Friend is aware of the importance of local banking to local communities. With news of the closure of yet another bank in Aldridge in July, we will be left with just one bank for the whole constituency. It really worries me that older residents struggle with access to banking, cash and valuable services, so will she consider providing time for a debate to discuss this really important topic, which I am sure is of interest to Members on both sides of the House?”

In addition to meeting with Branch representatives and raising this in the House I am also seeking to secure a debate in Westminster Hall.

I will continue to keep constituents informed.
