This week is National Eye Health Week.

It’s a time to raise awareness of the importance of Eye Health, and is an opportunity to encourage people to talk about eyesight problems. More than 2million people in the UK suffer substantial visual loss.
Loss of vision has also been linked to loneliness, social isolation and anxiety.

We are fortunate to have a number of good Opticians locally across the constituency. I was able to see some of the latest testing equipment on my recent visit to Specsavers in Aldridge
We all want to end preventable sight loss, such as with glaucoma – and this starts with raising awareness of diseases and encouraging everyone to have regular eye tests.
