Manufacturing forms the backbone of our local business community across Aldridge-Brownhills, the Black Country and the wider West Midlands. It is also critical for the creation of jobs, economic development and prosperity of the country overall. That is why I am always keen to champion manufacturing and engage with our local businesses, ensuring the sector’s voice is heard in Parliament.

Today is #NationalManufacturingDay, so let’s celebrate all of our fantastic local manufacturers, and highlight the diversity and breadth of opportunities in the sector, the range of jobs available, the skills, and the opportunities, including apprenticeships.

I will always champion local businesses and investment into our area, working closely with Mayor Andy Street, and will work to ensure we have the local skills we need.
