It was a pleasure to visit the Manor Hospital again last week and meet with Chief Executive Officer Richard Beeken and staff for an update on the plans and progress for developing the Hospital, and to visit the impressive new Intensive Care Unit.
I was pleased to learn more about the plans for the new Emergency Department which received £36 million Government funding at the end of last year. This successful funding award was the result of the hard work undertaken by Richard and all of his staff at the Hospital and will benefit my constituents.
The NHS plays a vital role in our lives, and I was delighted to be able to meet some of the staff, the everyday heroes who provide support and care for us all, day in, day out, 24/7.
