I was extremely disappointed to receive notification of the closure planned for December this year of Lloyds Bank on Aldridge High Street. Understandably many local residents have been in touch to express their anger, frustration and sadness at the closure.
I therefore arranged to meet Branch Manager, Steve Cawston, and Geraldine Boylan, the Banks Public Affairs Manager, to find out more about this, to press them to look again at the decision and to seek reassurances and answers to questions.
If the closure goes ahead, and it does feel to me like it’s fair accompli, it is important that customers know where and how to access banking services and information. I have therefore asked for this information and will share anything I receive in a future message on here and with those constituents who have contacted me direct.
