The Home Secretary, Rt Hon Priti Patel MP has announced a new funding boost of £148 million to help in the fight against drugs.
As part of the funding boost there will also be an extra £80 million for treatment to help drug users to recover whilst also giving additional resources to Police Officers to help tackle county lines crime cutting supply.
I welcome this latest initiative by the Home Secretary as I know it will have a positive impact for residents across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency.
