Easter arrives with the coming of spring – a time of rebirth and renewal.
It is the most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Christ. The Easter story also contains an inspiring promise of new life, renewal and the triumph of hope.
This Easter is like no other, we remain in the grips of the Coronavirus pandemic, but building on the hope contained within the Easter story and the stoicism of Her Majesty the Queen in her own Easter message let us never lose the hope that we will overcome this as a nation.
Whilst taking this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Easter let me also say the greatest contribution we can all make this Easter is to – Stay at Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives.
