I really enjoyed my recent visit to the 31st Sutton Coldfield West Scout Group in Streetly where I met up with Mark Welch and some of the leaders and volunteers at one of their regular Friday evening meetings. It was terrific to see how all the hard work, determination and effort over many years has paid off and resulted in this fantastic new community facility.
The Scout group can be incredibly proud of what they have achieved, including fund-raising over £600,000 to pay for the new development. It demonstrates true community spirit and the facilities are magnificent.
The new Scout Centre provides a facility that I am sure the entire Streetly community can benefit from and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
