Due to the incredibly cold weather, I have been informed that those eligible across my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency will receive the Government’s Cold Weather Payment.
The Cold Weather Payment scheme runs from 1st November to 31st March 2023.
Eligible households will receive a payment if the average temperature in their area is recorded as, or is forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over 7 consecutive days.
Eligible households will receive £25 for each 7 day period of cold weather.
Please be aware that Cold Weather Payments are different to Winter Fuel Payments.
