Last weekend there were so many wonderful community events across the constituency. After a musical start to the day at All Saints Parish Church I popped in to see the OWLS at Streetly Library where there was a real party atmosphere as they celebrated HM The Queens 90th Birthday including live entertainment which I was very tempted to join in with.
In Aldridge, even the rain did not stop play. The Methodist Church took their party indoors and the fun continued. Later in the day I was delighted to be able to support the Streetly Community Day and the fantastic fundraising of “Team Jess” for Jessica Kill, where this time the weather held out for everyone and there was a great atmosphere all round. The community is working incredibly hard to fundraise for Jessica and I hope to be able to support other events.
The birthday celebrations continued on Sunday with Tea Party’s at Pelsall Hall Care Home and Rushall Church, and I am sure there were many other events happening too.
