Armed Forces Day in Pelsall and time to get into the swing of things at the 1940s-themed day. It was a wonderful day, with some fantastic costumes, and also a great sense of community spirit.

It was then on to Daw End Methodist Church and their Anniversary Tea party, where I had a welcome cup of tea and enjoyed the most impressive spread of cakes and sandwiches! I hope to be back again soon.

On Sunday it was Brownhills Canalside Festival – a day both my husband, a boating man, and myself had been looking forward to. There was a damp start to the day but the spirit of the event was fantastic. There were so many stall from local charities and groups. It was such a lovely family fun day enjoyed by all I’m sure.
