I was delighted to accept an invitation from the Chief Executive of the Manor Hospital to visit the new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre.

It was good to see first-hand this excellent new facility benefitting all the residents of Walsall, including my Aldridge-Brownhills constituents.

The Urgent and Emergency Care Centre is a £36 million capital funded Government project, and it is great that it officially opened whilst we are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the National Health Service.

Throughout the visit I was once again struck by the incredible professionalism of the people we are fortunate enough to have working in our National Health Service and the clear team approach for the benefit of all their patients.

I would like to thank the staff at the Manor Hospital and its Chief Executive Professor David Loughton for taking the time to facilitate my visit and I look forward to future visits.
