As part of our Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Aldridge-Brownhills, I have written to our local Primary Schools to invite children to design a card for The Queen. The winning design will then be sent to Buckingham Palace in time for the Platinum Jubliee weekend in June.

The invitation to submit a design is open to any child of primary school age who lives in my Aldridge-Brownhills constituency.

Each entry, accompanied with a short statement (100 words max) to explain the reasons for your design or theme, should be no bigger than A3 size (297mm x 420mm). It can be any shape and any colour and it can be personal to your school or local area. The choice and theme is completely down to you!

Entries should be received by my office no later than 1st April 2022 and will be judged independently by Lord-Lieutenant John Crabtree OBE and a representative from Walsall Council.

The winning design will be transformed into a card which will be sent to Her Majesty from the residents of Aldridge-Brownhills.

I am really looking forward to seeing the entries as we celebrate an incredible lifetime of service to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Countries and thank the Queen for her sense of duty and her devotion to a life of service.

Note: Entries must be accompanied by name and age of the child, and parental, guardian or carer contact details. Entries will not be returned.
