Had a wonderful day at the Brownhills Canalside Festival at the weekend.

From the 90 year old historic narrowboats, the working boats, the floating traders with a fabulous range of wares, and the vast selection of stalls and traders the canalside was buzzing.

It was a great opportunity to catch up with Brownhills First Councillors Kerry Murphy and Ken Ferguson – and lots of traders, boaters, community groups and constituents – and support this event.  Also to speak with representatives and friends from the LHCRT who had organised the event and who continue to work as a charity towards the restoration of the Lichfield and Hatherton Canal for the benefit of the community.
